Brown continues to gain interest

Three-star point guard Jaylon Brown is considering a few new options.

There might not be a more athletic point guard in the nation than three-star Jaylon Brown. The Fishers (Ind.) Senior product is capable of highlight reel plays at any point in time, and continues to refine his skills as a floor leader.

At 5-foo-11, Brown is a point guard capable of playing even with the top of the square on the backboard and then has the speed to push it in transition. Overall Brown felt he showed well for himself this summer playing with the Martin's Wolverines.

"I think I played pretty well during the beginning of the summer, but I ended up getting sick and they didn't let me play the last two tournaments, but the first tournament in Indianapolis I played pretty well," said Brown.

Originally Brown narrowed his school list down to Evansville, Miami (OH), Ohio, St. Bonaventure, Wichita State, and St. Joseph's, but now that might be expanding a little bit.

"I am kind of open again I would say," said Brown. "Miami-Ohio, Evansville, now Richmond is in the picture, St. Bonaventure has been down, and more schools are contacting me so I am kind of open."

Recently Evansville had an in-home visit with Brown, and he said it went well.

"Really they just kind of want me to commit to the school," said Brown with a laugh about the visit. "They have been talking to me for a long time. They wanted to talk to my mom and show my mom what they have. It was a good visit, and I really like the place. They have a nice arena and they are in a good conference."

Also he took a visit to Miami in the last month, and liked what he saw on the Oxford campus.

"Miami didn't have an in-home but I did go see them about three weeks ago," he explained. "It's close to Fishers and Cincinnati so that is good thing. It is just a real nice place. I know they didn't have a real good year last year, but they have been good for a long time."

For now Brown wants to schedule his official visits and then make a decision, and he wants to do that before too long.

"I do want to sign early," said Brown. "I don't want to go through the season undecided. I want to be able to enjoy my senior season."
