Hurst To Be Ram

2013 Aurora Central prospect Carlton Hurst will play college ball for Colorado State.

One of Colorado's top basketball prospects for the class of 2013 will keep his game in state as Aurora Central guard Carlton Hurst has opted to play at Colorado State. A press release from Hurst' Colorado Chaos club says, "He visited the Fort Collins, Colorado campus multiple times in the last few months and felt very comfortable with campus, city and proximity to his Aurora, Colorado home. He also felt a strong connection to new Colorado State head coach Larry Eustascy and his assistant coaches."

Hurst, who averaged 23 points and 10 boards last season for 20-4 Central, is not only one of the top basketball athletes in Colorado but in the West. Standing 6-3 and weighing 190 pounds, Hurst is difficult to defend due to his size and strength. Further, Hurst has the ability to guard multiple positions on the floor.

Hurst chose the Rams over offers from Wyoming, New Mexico, Buffalo and Saint Mary's. Recommended Stories
