Although the minor league regular season has come to an end, September is a very important month in the area of player development around baseball. The annual Instructional Leagues begin mid-month, and it is a time for many young prospects to get a lot of personal coaching instruction. The Oakland A’s will start their Instructional League camp on September 16, sending 36 prospects to Phoenix.
